WELCOME TO THE FIFTH RANGER BATTALION

Welcome to the website of the 5th Ranger Battalion!

 

We are a Realism Unit for the PC game Hell Let Loose and we plan to be the first unit to deploy into Hell Let Loose: Vietnam. As a Realism Unit we conduct ourselves very differently from a clan. We operate the unit as closely as possible to how a real United States Army unit during World War II functioned. We utilize realistic ranks, a chain of command, we have a comprehensive training program, and there is a high emphasis on team play.

SUN, 01 FEBRUARY 2026: RANGER OF THE MONTH (JANUARY 2026)

​

Corporal Hugh Crawford is a standout Ranger and a consistently strong presence within the platoon. He is dependable, highly skilled, and always willing to step up to support both his peers and the platoon leadership team. He actively strives to develop those around him, taking the time to mentor and strengthen the platoon as a whole. As a leader, he has been a steady rock to lean on, and his contributions have had a clear, positive impact on the team, striving for those around him to excel.

 

 

The 5th Ranger Battalion is undeniably a better place because of his dedication and service, and his efforts are truly appreciated, it is therefore no surprise that he was nominated as Ranger of the Month for January.

 

 

Alongside his Ranger of the Month citation he is also to be awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Congratulations Corporal Crawford!
