We are a Realism Unit for the game Hell Let Loose. As a Realism Unit we conduct ourselves very differently from a clan. We operate the unit as closely as possible to how a real United States Army unit during World War II functioned. We utilize realistic ranks, a chain of command, we have a comprehensive training program, and there is a high emphasis on team play.

FRI, 01 AUGUST 2025: Ranger of the Month (August 2025)

I am pleased to announce that the Ranger of the Month for July is Corporal Donald Wilson. Cpl. Wilson is arguably one of the most seasoned and experienced “realism” members in our unit. He has been a part of the realism community since it's founding back in 2003, which is longer than some of our members have been alive. This knowledge and experience is visible on a daily basis when playing with him in game or just talking with him in Discord. He is extremely passionate about upholding and maintaining historical accuracy in our units’ structure and presentation. Cpl. Wilson was instrumental with our decision to structure the unit how it’s structured today, based on the historical WWII Ranger Battalion’s Table of Organization and Equipment (TO&E).

Cpl. Wilson spends extensive time building professionally designed tables and guides used to help assist members in Hell Let Loose. His creation of an Armored Equipment guide is top notch with detailed information provided. Don’t let his clerical duties trick you! He shot “expert” by shooting a 27 out of 30 on the Individual Weapons Qualification (IWQ) for the M1 Garand. Furthermore, his opinions are always sought after from leadership looking to make informed decisions on various matters. His suggestions and recommendations are of tremendous value and hold much weight. Additionally, he also contributed financially by supporting the unit with a $50 donation near the end of June which fueled our funds going into July.

Lastly, his character is a pillar within our community. His humbleness and compassion are some of his most notable qualities, which he extends out to all of the members within the unit on a daily basis. He is the epitome of what it means to be a high quality member within the Battalion.

Alongside the ROTM Citation he has been awarded the Good Conduct Medal for his display of positive attitude, demonstration to help others and involvement during unit activities with a record of excellent attendance.
